The Copper Kettle Bed and Breakfast

The Copper Kettle is a small haven of peace and tranquility only one street away from the centre of Fouriesburg, Eastern Free State. Set in lush, green, shady gardens, the Copper Kettle provides visitors with everything they need in one space.

Warm and welcoming, the Copper Kettle Guesthouse is a stately, refurbished 100 year old house. It has big airy bedrooms and entertainment rooms, as well as lots of interesting nooks and crannies where one can sit and relax.Having the Afri Ski ski resort and Clarens within easy driving distance, makes the Copper Kettle Guesthouse an ideal, affordable base from which to explore the beautiful mountains surrounding the area.

Four comfortably, luxurious and spacious bedrooms are furnished with antiques in a modern colonial style. All bedrooms come equipped with a fan, heater, electric blankets and tea and coffee making facilities.

The light, airy bedrooms are furnished with an understated elegance and great attention has been paid to the smaller details. King size beds are made up with crisp fresh linen and each room has a stylish en suite bathroom as well as access to the rest of the many varied shared spaces.

Bathrooms are luxurious and have both a bath and showering facilities. They also come equipped with a bathroom heater, making for a warm snug bathroom on an icy winters night or morning!

A clever use of space offers visitors countless places to curl up and read a book, meet other people or just unwind. There are covered garden swings, a small, friendly bar, the deep, shaded stoep and the attractive lounge with it's seductive sofas and tempting log fire. Meals are served in a central dining room with an open plan design. Throughout the lodge there is a feeling of the outdoors merging seamlessly with the indoors as French windows swing open to allow the gentle sounds of water sprinklers and birdsong to fill the rooms.

With accommodation for only 8 guests there is an intimate feel to the place and enough time is afforded to tend to the needs of the individual. A full farmhouse breakfast is available in the morning and a hearty three course dinner is available at an additional cost, if pre-arranged. Special diets can be catered for and lunches can be made on request.

With Clarens just 35km away and the popular Afri Ski Ski Resort an easy, beautiful drive away in the Maluti Mountains, the Copper Kettle is an ideal place to stay, offering luxuriously comfortable accommodation at an affordable price.
